Rescue
Companion parrots are unique in that they speak our language. Often, people fall in love with an on-line video of a happy parrot interacting with his family and rush out to buy one with no understanding of the complexities involved in living with a parrot. If the bird doesn’t live up to expectations, often he is discarded, neglected or even abused.
The lucky birds find their way to sanctuaries or reputable rescue organizations. The Sockatoo Production Team is passionate about parrot rescue. We are honored to support two amazing organizations — the Oasis Parrot Sanctuary and A Tropical Concept Exotic Bird Rescue.
